Swimming

Swimming is a popular non-impact sport with a relatively low risk of injury. The most common swimming injury, by far, that we see in swimmers of all levels is an overuse injury of the shoulder also known as ‘swimmers shoulder’. We also, however, see overuse injuries of the knee (breaststrokers knee). There are many other injuries that may occur due to overloading, musculoskeletal limitations, and changing technique.

We work initially to resolve your injury and also create swimming specific rehabilitation or preventative programs. We also work with swimmers and their coaches to maximise speed and efficiency through technique review, assessing musculoskeletal limitations and load management.
